Caleb Grzedek's Best Friends (Part 2)

Happy Sunday!

Hope this weekend has been fun and amazing so far! I went home this weekend, and my family and I spent fifteen short minutes at the Cultural Fest in my hometown. The highlight of my weekend, though, was spending an hour playing classic video games with my brother. He's a sophomore in college, and I'm a senior at another college, so we do not always get a lot of quality time together, just the two of us. However, this has been a good and busy weekend.

Last weekend, I gave you five character traits of Caleb Grzedek's (The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs) best friends. This weekend, I will give you five more character traits of the same friends, so here we go!

Tad Beruve:
* Tad is an avid fan of baseball, and he eventually plays in high school.
* Tad plays acoustic guitar and drums in the friends' band, but he plays the trombone in the school band.
* Tad is obsessed with frogs, so his nickname could derive from "tadpole."
* Tad's idea for the name of their band was "Northbound" because it was just a random name that came across to him when brainstorming name ideas.
* When Tad's two siblings are in high school, they both play the drums in band.

Alessandra Marbanks:
* In the later novels, Alessandra indicates that she tried out for the volleyball team in middle school but did not make it in.
* Alessandra plays lead electric guitar in the friends' band, and the clarinet in the school band.
* Alessandra's idea for the name of their band was "The Polish Posse." She is half-Polish, and the Grzedek's are three-quarters Polish; however, Alessandra was actually born in Poland, and the Grzedek's were born in the United States.
* Alessandra has a somewhat bossy persona.
* Alessandra's two half-sisters were on the volleyball team in high school.

Kathryn Ashley:
* Kathryn played volleyball until she was a senior in high school due to a broken ankle.
* Kathryn plays keyboard in
the friends' band, and the flute in the school band.
* Kathryn's idea for a name of their band is "Turkey Day" because Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday, and she liked the name.
* In the later novels, Kathryn takes time off from their band because she helps out with her sister's pregnancy. During that time, Andrew Grzedek (Caleb's older brother) takes her place.
* Kathryn is the airhead of their band.

Mark Davis:
* Mark does
not play sports in high school, but he loves to watch soccer.
* Mark plays the drums in both their band and the school band.

* Mark's idea for a name of their band is "Prehistoric Rock" because he likes dinosaurs, and they mostly play rock music.
* Although Mark was born in San Diego, his family lived in Arizona until the time of his adoption.
* Mark is of Irish, German, Portuguese, Peruvian, and Slovenian descent on the sides of his biological parents.

Here are the character sketches of Caleb's best friends. Next weekend, I will give you the character sketches of Levi Cranston's (The Magic Video Game) best friends, Jack Andrews, David Savino, and Asad Prejesh. The weekend following, I will give you the character sketches of his other best friends,
Kevin and Caleb Boca, Nathaniel Linden, and Benny Wickford. Then, I will talk about David Ingram (Rockybado), Andrew Grzedek (The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs), and Levi Cranston (The Magic Video Game). After that, I will give character sketches of those three boys' girlfriends.

Have a great Sunday and an amazing week!

B. Levi
