Hello, everyone!

Hopefully you are having a wonderful weekend thus far. Today is the second day of The Magic Video Game being only 99 cents on Amazon! Then, its sequel, The Tennis Summer, is listed for FREE until Sunday night! So, be sure to check them out!

And now, as promised, on to my character sketches.

Adam, Cameron, and Alyssa Grzedek are the three younger siblings of five from The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs. They appear in the first novel, but they eventually become minor characters, especially in The Sound of a B Flat, and they make a very brief appearance in the first-ever sci-fi compilation of mine, The Crazy Chicken Escapade.

So, without further ado, here is the character sketch of Adam Grzedek.

  • Adam Grzedek was born on October 15, 1995 in Valparaiso, Indiana.
  • He has a twin brother named Cameron.
  • Adam is the older twin.
  • Adam's middle name is Timothy.
  • Even though Adam does not play an instrument yet, his older brother, Andrew, loosely indicates in The Crazy Chicken Escapade that he is interested in playing the drums and joining a garage band when he gets older.
  • Adam's inspiration and role model is his older brother, Caleb.
  • Adam is the one who comes up with the name for Caleb's band.
  • Adam's favorite color is red.
  • Adam is greatly obsessed with Mexican food, but he does not make it obvious until Andrew indicates that is so in The Crazy Chicken Escapade.
  •  Adam's favorite sport is baseball, but he does not actually play any sports.

Now, on to the character sketch of Cameron Grzedek.

  • Cameron Grzedek was born on October 15, 1995 in Valparaiso, Indiana.
  • He has a twin brother named Adam.
  • Cameron is the younger twin, and everyone knows that since the sequence of names is in a fixed pattern: ACACA (Andrew, Caleb, Adam, Cameron, Alyssa).
  • Cameron and Adam are fraternal twins; they look nothing alike.
  • Cameron's middle name is Benjamin.
  • In The Crazy Chicken Escapade, the oldest brother, Andrew, briefly indicates that Cameron is taking guitar lessons from the second-oldest brother, Caleb.
  • Like Adam, Cameron loves to watch baseball but doesn't actually play the sport.
  • Cameron's favorite color is blue.
  • Adam and Cameron share the same best friends, since they are all in the same grade. However, neither Kevin Baker or Brian Levitt mentioned until very briefly in The Crazy Chicken Escapade.
  • Cameron has had eye problems since the age of four and has had to wear glasses ever since.

And, last but not least, the character sketch of the youngest sibling and only girl, Alyssa Grzedek.

  • Alyssa Grzedek was born on May 12, 2000 in Lowell, Indiana.
  • Her middle name is Michelle.
  • Alyssa is the youngest sibling of the five, and she is the only girl.
  • Like Andrew, Alyssa had to get her tonsils taken out at the age of three.
  • Coming from a relatively large family, Alyssa likes to consider her cousins her best friends.
  • After watching Andrew play tennis, Alyssa eventually finds interest in the sport.
  • Alyssa's favorite colors are pink and purple, but she prefers purple.
  • Alyssa loves bread sticks.
  • Unlike the rest of the siblings, Alyssa does not seem very interested in learning a musical instrument.
  • Alyssa's most favorite hobby is reading.

These are the character sketches of the three younger siblings. Next weekend, I will briefly explain my first sci-fi compilation and some thought processes on what I've done so far.

And again, be sure to check out The Magic Video Game and its sequel, The Tennis Summer.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hello, everyone!

Hopefully you are having a wonderful Friday. Today is the first day of The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs being only 99 cents on Amazon! Then, its sequel, The Sound of a B Flat, is listed for FREE until Sunday night! So, be sure to check them out!

And now, on to my character sketches.

Andrew and Caleb Grzedek are the two oldest siblings of five from The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs. They have some similarities, but they also do not, so here are their descriptions.

Here is the character sketch of Andrew Grzedek.

  • Andrew David Michael Grzedek was born on August 17th, 1991 in Concordia, Kansas.
  • Andrew currently lives in St. John with his family, and he is a freshman in high school.
  • Andrew is 14 years old and is the oldest of five siblings: Caleb, 12; Adam, 10; Cameron, 10; and Alyssa, 6.
  • Andrew had his tonsils taken out when he was only three years old, and he had his appendix removed when he was four.
  • He is on his high school's tennis team, like David Ingram from Rockybado and Levi Cranston from The Magic Video Game.
  • The kids' father actually immigrated from Poland at a young age.
  • Andrew is generally nice, but he can be very sarcastic.
  • Andrew's best friends include Jason Lazinski and Matt Bartz, who are both on the tennis team.
  • Andrew's favorite colors are green and blue.
  • Andrew wants to study marketing and Spanish in college.
  • He and Caleb lived in Concordia, Kansas; Valparaiso, Indiana; Lowell, Indiana; and St. John, Indiana.

Now, here is the character sketch of Caleb Grzedek.

  • Caleb Andrew Grzedek was born on November 25th, 1993 in Concordia, Kansas.
  • Caleb is the second oldest of their five siblings.
  • Caleb's best friends are Alessandra Marbanks (who is also half-Polish), Kathryn Ashley, Mark Davis, and Tad Beruve.
  • Caleb and his friends are in the school band, as well as their own band that performs at their families' graduation parties.
  • Although Andrew and Caleb are biologically related, Caleb eventually goes to a different high school due to a struggle in academics from an extremely large school.
  • Caleb plays the saxophone, piano, clarinet, flute, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, and drums.
  • Caleb is a devout Christian, while Andrew argues religion in general.
  • Caleb has aspirations to be a music teacher in a Catholic school.
  • Caleb's favorite color is green.
  • When Caleb is eventually in high school, he considers marching band at first, but switches to concert band and theatre at the very last minute.

Here are my character sketches of Andrew and Caleb Grzedek. Next week, stay tuned for the character sketches of Adam, Cameron, and Alyssa Grzedek, the three younger siblings.

Have a great weekend!

Inspirations

Hi, everyone!

A thousand apologies for posting late on my blog. My entire week has been very busy. I work three days a week at the marketing department for a hospital, and I absolutely love my job! However, it is three weeks into my internship, and I am still getting adjusted to the new schedule. Also, my week has been spiced up with so many other occasions and affairs as well, such as meeting up with friends from intermediate school, and taking my sister to violin lessons (and I got part of one of my chapters done while waiting for my sister to complete her lesson); I believe my sci-fi compilation is coming along very well.

Eleven more chapters to finish! My goal for completion is July 31st. Then, I can draw pictures for it, and I can also do some proof-reading. It is going to need it.

So, on to my inspirations.

Where to even begin?

Rockybado was started when I did my advertising project in fifth grade, then I decided to go on with a little bit of writing. At first, the main characters were Adam, Alec, and Alex Levistad, as well as Matthew Wickenden and Michael Malakins from a fictitious town in Michigan called Nesterville (from what I remember, that was the name of it). Now, my main characters are David, Brody, and Toby Ingram, as well as Andrew McCalsky and Adam Levistad in a real city in Indiana called Crown Point.

The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs was started when I was little. I do not remember the names of my characters offhand, but they lived in Kenya. This was when I first started writing the story. Now, it’s Andrew, Caleb, Adam, Cameron, and Alyssa Grzedek, and they live in a real city in Indiana called St. John.

The Magic Video Game was started when I went on a field trip to an arcade room with my friends, then I decided to go on with a little bit of writing. At first, the main characters were Andrew and Taci Grzedek from a real town in Indiana called Plymouth. Now, my main characters are Olivia and Levi Cranston in a real city in Indiana called Valparaiso.

Next week, I will give you the character sketch of Andrew and Caleb Grzedek from The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs.

And, on Friday June 20th, The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs will be listed on Amazon for 99 cents, and its sequel, The Sound of a B Flat will be free on the same day! Be sure to check them out!

Have a great week!

Andrew McCalsky, Adam Levistad, and John Garfield

Hello everyone!

Last week, I gave a character sketch of Dawson Ingram, the oldest Ingram sibling in the family, as well as Brett and Toby Ingram. This week, I am going to give you all a character sketch of Andrew McCalsky, Brody's best friend, as well as David's best friends, Adam Levistad and John Garfield.

Here is the character sketch of Andrew McCalsky.

  • Andrew Cameron McCalsky was born on November 17th, 1992 in Boulder, Colorado.
  • He has an older brother, David John McCalsky, who was born on October 31st, 1985 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
  • Andrew is Brody Ingram's best friend.
  • They are both on the baseball team.
  • Andrew and Brody are in the same grade.
  • In the second novel, it is revealed that Andrew had his tonsils removed when he was four years old.
  • Also, in the second novel, it is revealed that Andrew has asthma.
  • Andrew and Brody have been friends since they were both living in Crown Point.
  • Andrew considers himself to be more of a gamer.
  • He is also considered to be the top in his class, along with Brody.

Now, here is the character sketch of Adam Levistad.

  • Adam Brown Levistad was born on June 22nd, 1991 in Elmhurst, Illinois.
  • He is an only child.
  • Adam is African American.
  • Adam is best friends with David Ingram and John Garfield.
  • Adam plays tennis, but he is not the star player on the team.
  • He spends most of his time either at the Ingram's house or at his cousin Benjamin's house.
  • Even though David is extremely studious, Adam is not.
  • He is a decent student, but he doesn't always think he has to work hard to get good grades.
  • Adam has been to England, France, and Spain with his parents and aunt, uncle, and cousin.
  • Adam tends to be pretty quiet.
  • He has aspirations to become a pharmacist.

And, last but not least, here is the character sketch of John Garfield.

  • John Adam Garfield was born on August 9th, 1991 in Valparaiso.
  • He has two other siblings: David Andrew and Kelley Ann.
  • John moves from Crown Point to downtown Valparaiso at the very beginning of Rockybado.
  • He plays tennis.
  • In the first compilation series, it is revealed that John is the cousin of David's friend's girlfriend.
  • John makes a brief appearance in the first novel in the Rockybado series.
  • And then, he makes more appearances as the novels go on.
  • Out of the six boys; David Ingram, Brody Ingram, Toby Ingram, Andrew McCalsky, Adam Levistad, and John himself, John is the only other boy who is left-handed besides Brody.
  • John has a huge obsession with cats.
  • It appears at first that John might be a bit OCD; however, he admits that he is not.

Next week, I will talk about my inspirations for each of my series. In the meantime, however, Rockybado will be listed on Amazon for 99 cents until Monday, and its sequel, A Run in the Game, will be listed for free until Monday! So, be sure to check them both out!

Have a great weekend!
