Kevin Maggliardi had just broken up with his girlfriend, Linda Theresa Matmatuan, after she had cheated on him the same day they celebrated their six-month anniversary. Linda’s friend, Michelle, came over to get everything that belonged to Linda, which wasn’t very much. “How are you doing after everything?” Michelle asked. “I’m fine. Trying to wrap my head around everything,” Kevin said. “I can’t blame you at all. She’s not a nice person.” “No. She’s not. I thought you were friends with her?” “After I found out what she did to you, I cut ties with her,” Michelle remarked. “How did you find out?” Kevin asked. “I heard from a few other people. She’s really pretty on the outside, but really bitchy on the inside. I have another thing to confess to you.” “What?” “You two never dated.” “Okay, I’m now really confused.” “She used you as a buffer so she could get with as many guys as she could. You remember how she would end the evening with you early? She did that since she didn’t want to get with you. She wanted to get with other guys,” Michelle said. “Wow. I feel like I just got sucker punched in the stomach,” Kevin remarked, trying to fight back tears. “She wasn’t interested in you as a boyfriend. Kevin, she’s a user.” “Am I the first person that you knew that she used?” “Actually, no. But you’re the first person that I respect that she’s used, so I had to do something.” “Why?” “You seem like one of the better guys. I like the fact that you’re really shy.” “Okay. I’d appreciate it if you took her things and leave. I’m not in a good mood.” “I will. Thanks for understanding.”
