A Little Excerpt

Labor Day Weekend 2019

Kevin Maggliardi, Jing Hao, Mike Wong, Asad Prejesh, Levi Cranston, and Jack Andrews spent Labor Day weekend in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. They were very curious about the place, so they all rented a house for the weekend. On that Sunday, they decided to go to the nearest pool to go swimming. By the time they were there, in the afternoon, the six boys were the only ones there, and they were completely fine with that.

Kevin was sitting at the edge until Levi pushed him hard into the pool. Kevin screamed and tried to get back up and sit on the edge, but Jing and Wong kept pushing him under the water, because they were being dorks. Once he regained his composure, Kevin treaded on the water with his back against the wall of the pool.

“F*CKING STOP!” Kevin shouted, breathing very hard.
“You alright, kid?” Jing asked his best friend.
“No! I think my heart is gonna jump out of my chest, and you’re gonna see it at the bottom of the pool.”
“That bad?”
“I need to catch my breath is all,” Kevin replied.
“Okay. Well, sorry about that,” Jing said.
“All good. I just don’t want you guys to see a gross organ.”
“Your heart is not gonna jump out of your chest, ya dingus.”
