A Little Excerpt

It was May 2008, on a weekend from school, and Brett Ingram (Rockybado) just woke up with the absolute worst throat pain possible. He was absolutely fine the day before. It was around 7:00 am on a Saturday morning, and it was just him, his older brother, Dawson, and their mother. Their father took their other brothers, David, Brody, and Toby to their cousins' house for the day.

Brett was lying on the couch, fighting to stay well. This was the fourth time he had strep throat in a matter of six months. However, he did not have to miss school due to being sick. Ironically enough, his cases of strep throat always fell on a weekend. This made it convenient for him in the sense that he did not have to miss school, but sadly he couldn't practice with his band mates today.

Instead, his mom would have to drag him to the doctor to get a confirmation that this was strep throat for the fourth time. There might have to be an alternative to avoiding another case of strep in the future.

Brett was afraid that he may have to part ways with his tonsils.
