Five minutes later, Brody Ingram was still sleeping comfortably. David, his older brother, stood watch over his younger brother. And Toby, his younger brother, had returned to the room with his acoustic guitar. He had a song in mind that we could play for both David and Brody, and he knew that this was the right time as any to put his creative juices to a boil. In his sing-song voice… “Tacos are delicious. Tacos are yummy. I like a delicious taco every day. Give me all the tacos that you have, and I will consume them all. Yay, tacos!” He had this written down on a sheet of paper that seemed to date back to 2006, when he was only ten years old. Apparently this song was created that long ago, and it started coming to life just today. Or was there another time when Toby sang this song to an audience? After the eighth time that Toby had sung this, Brody finally woke up. Slowly, but he realized that now was the perfect time as any to get out of bed and head for Germany soon. He had heard this song before, but it was a long time ago. “Good morning, sleepyhead!” Toby shouted in his sing-song voice. “I appreciate that this was the song you chose,” Brody said sleepily. “Ready for Germany?” “Hell yeah, I am.” “Good! Now we need to head over to the airport soon,” Toby said. “What time is it?” Brody asked. “2:31.” “We still have an hour.” “That’s good.” “Especially since everything is packed in the car and ready to go.” Brody fell back asleep. When that next hour passed, his parents woke him up so that they could head over to the airport. The parents were driving themselves, David, Brody, and Toby to the airport. Brett, the second oldest, had to get ready for a gig tonight, so he couldn’t go with them. And Dawson, the oldest, and his fiancée, Daniela Cardis, had spent a day in Chicago and were planning to stay over at a friend’s tonight. From The Jazzy Island of Dinosaurs 2: The Sound of a B Flat
Andrew and Caleb Grzedek were sitting in the living room playing video games for about thirty minutes. When they did not want to play any more classic games, the two older brothers just sat on the sofa, pondering life. Not really. “Do you ever get that feeling when you want to do something, but you don’t feel like doing it?” Andrew asked Caleb. “Sometimes I do,” Caleb remarked. “I have that feeling right now.” “What did you want to do?” “Go on a walk around our neighborhood.” “Let’s do it, then.” Andrew shrugged his shoulders, got up off the couch, and joined Caleb for a nice and relaxing walk around the neighborhood. Even if Andrew did not necessarily feel up to accomplishing anything, he actually did. Oh, calamari.
Dipped in hot cocktail sauce. Fire in my mouth. And ravioli. Toasted lightly with some cheese, And other spices. That's my night tonight. Feeling so Italian. Eating some pasta. Thinking 'bout writing. It's almost 2018. Man, this year flew by. Rockybado, though. Jazzy Island Dinosaurs. Magic Vid'ya Game. From Rockybado 5: #SanFranciscoBound
Brody Ingram was lying comfortably on his stomach with his comforter over him. The fan was on full blast, and the air from the fan blew through his hair, making it look like he was on an island with palm trees. The room itself was a pretty nice temperature, so David and Toby, his brothers, were both very comfortable. David and Toby both knew that Brody needed to wake up soon, as their family was going to drive them both to the airport in a few hours. Brody could possibly sleep on the way over, but he probably would not be up to that at all. “Hey, David?” Toby got his older brother’s attention. “Yays?” David replied in a goofy voice. “How should we wake up Brody?” “That’s a good question.” “Any ideas?” Toby asked. “Maybe play video games and turn the sound up so that can wake him,” David answered. “That’s an idea.” “What else do you have?” “Well, we could do that. I also have my guitar. I was thinking about serenading him.” “Oooooh! I like that a lot!” “Should we just go with that then?” “I think so.” Toby rushed back downstairs and got his guitar. David waited nervously in the room, as he thought Brody could possibly wake up before Toby got back. If Brody woke up before Toby returned to the room, then there would be no hot fudge sundaes with extra sprinkles and a cherry on a top for a week, and that would be sad. Even though Brody is a heavier sleeper than most, he is a lighter sleeper than some.
