It was Friday October 7th, 2016, and Levi Cranston was battling a cold. He and his friends were planning to go out tonight, but they weren't sure how long they were going to stay out. Jack Andrews and Asad Prejesh wanted to get food and beer. Levi's girlfriend, Mackenzie Burbanks, didn't really care what they did. So, they wanted to do everything based on how Levi was feeling.
They were at their house in downtown Valparaiso, and Levi was still debating on whether he wanted to go out or not. They decided to just walk around downtown Valpo and go to a nearby pub for the night. The night was a bit crisp, so they didn't want to spend a lot of time outside. Aside from the walking around, Levi really did not feel like doing much. He had worked half a day today, and he rested up until late afternoon. At about 3:30 in the afternoon, Levi woke up to Mackenzie opening the door to their room. He slowly got up and hoped to the Good Man that he didn't sleep the whole day away. His hair was a little messy from sleeping for a few hours. And, he was actually starting to feel a little worse than he did before he fell asleep. His nose was a bit stuffier than before, and his throat was starting to get sore. Mackenzie climbed onto the bed with him and tried to wake him up. Levi took so much time to fully wake up, that it was right at 4:30 before he got out of bed to get ready for the evening. Jack and Asad had just come home from work as well. They were more than ready to celebrate the weekend. But they wanted to know how Levi was feeling at this time. At around 6:30 in the evening, the four kids walked to a pub on the square to get food and beer. Levi was now starting to get in the mood to having a hard cider, one of his more favorite drinks. And, even though he wasn't feeling too well, his plan was to make the most out of today. Levi started to think he might be feeling better. And there was much rejoicing. The evening was pretty fun. Jack, Levi, Mackenzie, and Asad went out to eat and laughed a little. Then, they walked around downtown for a bit. It wasn't that bad of a night to just hang out. In fact, it was a really great night to just hang out. Then, around 8:30 in the evening, Levi was starting to feel a little stuffy again. They walked over to his parents' house to see what they were up to. And also because Levi forgot some cold medicine that he probably should have taken before they went out. Levi's place is about a ten minute walk from his parents' house, so they are not far away at all. It was still nice out to the point that they all just decided to walk to Levi's parents' house. The four kids got to Levi's parents' house, and it turned out to be a very interesting evening. After some conversation with Mr. Cranston and Mrs. LeVole-Cranston, Jack and Asad played video games in the common area. The parents, Mackenzie, and Evelyn Maeve, Levi's younger sister, stayed around the dining area to take care of Levi. He took some cold medicine and waited to see how it would affect him. Levi was starting to get pretty out of it. Later that evening, Levi fell asleep at the table. His head was in his arms, which were on the table. And it would be next to impossible to wake him up. His parents tried, and they could hear Levi's faint snoring. The cold medicine had quite the effect on him, and it was probably good that Levi was sleeping soundly, even if it was at the dining room table. Jack and Asad walked back to the house, which is closer to the square. Mackenzie stayed with Levi to take care of him. Her arm was wrapped around his back, and she was trying to make him a little more comfortable. This may or may not be the best weekend for Levi. But at least he was going to try to get over this cold as quickly as possible.

David and Brody had spent an hour and thirty minutes at the pizza joint. They each got their own personal pizza. David had asked for pepperoni, spinach, and olives on his pizza. And Brody had asked for ham and pineapple on his pizza. And it was one of the best pizzas they have ever had. Then, David and Brody decided that it would be best to return to Rockybado and everyone else. And now was the perfect time to do so. "This trip to Dumigal was interesting," Brody stated. "Yes, it was," David answered. "Are we ready to go back to Rockybado's place now?" "I am. Don't know for sure about you." "I've been ready since we were kicked out for not wanting sprinkles on our sundaes," Brody replied. "I was hoping for a sundae," David also replied. "Well, we will get our share of sundaes soon. I'm sure of it." "When?" "Soon." "How soon?" "Very soon." David and Brody Ingram
Interesting month.
Happy October to you. Halloween is here. It's only the 5th. Haiku Wednesday won't exist Very much longer. It's Haiku Monday. Most of the time, that is true. Now I want pizza. Caramel apple, please. And some cider too, you know. Eating the apples. Pumpkin spice latte. Pumpkin spice beer and wine, too. Oh, what a concept. Don't like pumpkin spice? Apple's a better flavor. In my opinion. It is a good day. Every day is a good day. In my opinion. Getting a latte Once I'm more done with writing. Sweet vanilla, yo. It was Friday September 30th, 2016. Brody Ingram was not feeling too well. His older brother, David Ingram, celebrated his 25th birthday today. And, sadly, Brody was not in the mood to celebrate. His birthday is exactly a week before David's, September 23rd.
Brody had been fighting this cold or whatever it was for a few days. He seemed to get it when Brett, their older brother, came back to Crown Point to visit for the weekend. For a couple months now, he and his friends live in Chicago so that they can be closer to the music festivals. Not that Crown Point is really that far away as such. But Brett and his friends have always really wanted to be in the city. Either Brett or one of his friends was sick when he came home. David might have gotten a small case of what this was for only a day. And then he was fine. No one else seemed to get it. Not even Dawson, the kids' older brother, or his wife, Daniela. For about a year, Dawson and Daniela have been living in the southwest side of Valparaiso, a small city about thirty minutes away from Crown Point. They did not want to be too far away from everything else going on, and being in Valpo was perfect for them. And Toby, the kids' youngest brother, goes to school in Chicago. He was not at home the past weekend because he had something going on with one of his groups that he is involved in. Luckily for him, he wasn't exposed to this virus at all. Brody had spent pretty much the whole day wrapped in his plush throw blankets in their apartment in Merrillville. He took a sick day today, so he didn't have to go into work. He lay on the couch with a cup of English breakfast tea on the coffee table next to him and watched as many movies as he possibly could. And he fell asleep at least once or twice today and woke up with an even stuffier nose than before. This Friday was most definitely not going to be a fun one. Brody, David, Adam Levistad, and Andrew McCalsky were at their apartment in Merrillville at 6:30 in the evening. David and Brody were already going to their parents' house in Crown Point later this evening because David wanted to have Chinese food brought in. He was not in the mood to go out. And he was worried about Brody. Just taking it easy was probably the best thing to do tonight. David and Brody drove for a few minutes to their parents' house. Toby was already at home for the weekend, but he did not know that Brody was sick today. Pretty much all they were going to do tonight was to have Chinese food, open presents, and possibly play video games. Well, David and Toby would play video games. And Brody would most likely try to sleep for as long as he could. |
