“So a couple days ago, I ran up that really steep hill on Lombard Street, and it was probably one of the best and worst things I could have done,” Brody Ingram said to his friend, Levi Cranston, over the phone. “Really? How so?” Levi asked. “I practically ran from where we live in Cow Hollow to the windy road. Just to say I could do it. That hill was so intense, that by the time I got to the top of the hill, my heart was pounding so hard inside my chest. I had my headphones in, and I could hear my heart beating over what music I was listening to. And the volume was not at the lowest.” “Actually that sounds like fun, and something I would love to do when I go there.” “I think you really have to mentally prepare for it. At least David was honest with me and told me that he wasn’t up for it. When Toby comes out this way, he keeps telling me that he is going to challenge me to it,” Brody said. “Oh Toby. I love him to death,” Levi replied. “Yes, we all do. But I hope he realizes how intense that run would be for him. He’s not really a beginner, but he’s not an advanced runner either.” “He just loves challenges, doesn’t he?” “Yes. I think we all do. But he always seems to find a way to challenge himself and win. Like for example, when he was three years old, he found a way to climb up on the rooftop. Our mom got so mad that she barricaded all the windows so that would not happen again. If I remember correctly, she forgot to barricade one window, so Toby climbed up on the rooftop again. And the second time it happened, David and I joined him. Fun times.” “I’m also guilty of that.”
